Portrait: Father & Daughter

A personal portrait commissioned in commemorating a special picture between the client and his daughter. I began in Photoshop, painting both on separate layers. Working first to build the block out and overall rough shape of the two, and building from there. Using fourteen layers in total not including the background, border, and signature layers. This particular project I didn't use any layer effects or overlay modes to help paint the colors of the image. Pulling from the reference image the main colors of each section of their faces and bodies to match as much as I did. There's areas I could've been more accurate on but the client was still moved by the creation and we ended it on a satisfied note.
