Took a chance and made my logo 3D. I imported an image plane to Maya LT and began basically making a ring around the outline of the logo using the plane mesh and alternating between the insert edge loop, append to poly, multi-cut, and the extrude tools. From there it was mostly merging, inserting edge loops, moving verts, and making various adjustments until I liked the shape and began making the UV map before using smooth mesh. Once I liked the look I deleted the history and freezing the transformation to bring it to Substance painter for the PBR treatment. I kept it true to my logo except for adding the glitter texture to try and add a sort of sparkle effect that doesn't really translate to the images. You see it more in the sketchfab and in the Substance Painter window. However I do like how it came out and plan to use it going forward.
