Beach Lust

I digitally painted a woman on the beach 5 years ago and it was not the best by any means. So after I finished school I felt the need to revisit some of my old work and I had to really put out my best work. I felt that this original image was one that desperately needed the attention. I also wanted to put it in color so it was the biggest challenge for me to not only fix anatomy, but to add color and improve the lighting as well.

I took my time to fix her jawline, soften her muscles, changing her clothing/bathing suit, and touching up the face to make it a bit more appealing than it was. I researched the beach and how the sand looks when wet during a sunset. I need to work more on clouds and a few other things, but I feel the newer painting is much stronger in nearly every aspect.
